PREDICTION OF SOIL SETTLEMENT ON SOFT CLAY SOIL USING NORMALIZED ROTATIONAL MULTIPLE YIELD SURFACE FRAMEWORK (NRMYSF)

چکیده
Soft clays are highly compressible, high-water content, low shear strength, and have poor permeability, which result in significant settlement under long-term loads. Therefore, one of the most challenging geotechnical engineering problems is to predict from soft clay soil. Normalized Rotational Multiple Yield Surface Framework (NRMYSF) developed soil stress-strain behaviour strength characteristic. It able estimate curve for triaxial tests. Spatial prediction of soil electrical conductivity using soil axillary data, soft data derived from general linear model and error measurement
Indirect measurement of soil electrical conductivity (EC) has become a major data source in spatial/temporal monitoring of soil salinity. However, in many cases, the weak correlation between direct and indirect measurement of EC has reduced the accuracy and performance of the predicted maps. The objective of this research was to estimate soil EC based on a general linear model via using se...
متن کاملPrediction of Soil Organic Matter by VIS-NIR Spectroscopy Using Normalized Soil Moisture Index as a Proxy of Soil Moisture
Soil organic matter (SOM) is an important parameter of soil fertility, and visible and near-infrared (VIS–NIR) spectroscopy combined with multivariate modeling techniques have provided new possibilities to estimate SOM. However, the spectral signal is strongly influenced by soil moisture (SM) in the field. Interest in using spectral classification to predict soils in the moist conditions to min...
متن کاملSurface Residue and Soil Moisture Affect Fertilizer Loss in Simulated Runoff on a Heavy Clay Soil
The potential for non-point-source pollution of surface waters from agricultural lands continues to be a concern. Our objective was to determine the effect of surface residue management and fertilizer application timing in regards to soil moisture conditions on nutrient losses in runoff. Studies were conducted using a rainfall simulator that applied 125 mm h-1 for 3 h to an Austin (Udorthentic ...
متن کاملImproving the clay, silt and sand of soil prediction by removing the influence of moisture on reflectance using EPO
Moisture is one of the most important factors that affects soil reflectance spectra. Time and spatial variability of soil moisture leads to reducing the capability of spectroscopy in soil properties estimation. Developing a method that could lessen the effect of moisture on soil properly prediction using spectrometry, is necessary. This paper utilises an external parameter orthogonalisation (EP...
